ok been a while

well well well.... sorry for all who read that i haven't posted anything of late. well lets start at news, I'm no longer going to be a Texan(state wise anyway), because i am moving to Kansas to start a new job at my company, easier on my body, and although i am leaving behind my families(mine and jess') i know that this is an opportunity tha the Lord put in my path for a  reason so.. Here's to obedience!!! next news item um... well the house that i am looking for just always seem out of reach so... Pray with me if you will about that, and my realtor, Janet Carter... her son was in the hospital lately so they have been having trouble. on to good news, i am typing the first of many(hopefully since ill have not much else to do) on a new laptop that i bought today. its not to bad have to get use to the keyboard though( its so small) hopefully i can keep in touch with the friends and family that i have made down here, and hope that i dont lose my mind up there...lol. well as far as new yrs resolutions go( yeah yeah its almost Feb ... :P ) i have a few goals for this yr. i grouped them into Physical, spiritual, and character. Physical is kinda easy. I'm starting a work out regime one the first of Feb(not family so no excuses) consisting of toning and running( which thank you Troy that goal has been push to what he feels is a more realistic goal of a half marathon in a yr... think that's 13 miles) but all that starts on the first when I'm up in Kansas. my spiritual gaols are more dealing with relationship, the goals i set is to read through the bible using the chronological plan, (which sad to say i am behind like a wk right now, but working on it), also behind is the goal to read every day the utmost devotional by chambers. I am happy to say that the gaol of one nonfiction book(to completion) of a encouraging nature is right on track( ''the fisherman's testament by Cesar Vidal). the last goal is character, i have set the goal to be completely honest this year, (even to the point of cleansing my soul and letting Jess know that i have been keeping the fact of me cheating on her with another girl(not recent but never told her)). so that pretty much whats been going on. i having been thinking on my word for the new year( KLOVE idea) and i think in writing this i have decided....its CLEANSING... everything when it starts is fresh, clean, like how it smells after a spring rain. Christ our Lord has given us the gift of Cleaning us with His blood. I think its about time I start washing EVERY part of my cup, not just the OUTSIDE.  till next time, God bless you and yours, and humankind that He loves so much.

slave i a book that clarifies how first century Christians thought of there relationship with Jesus. it expresses how we as Christians[and personally as Americans] we have distorted that relationship, to make Jesus and God liken to "a genie in a bottle" that we summon whenever we want some ting taken care of but yet as long as our own self-centered pride, ego, do-it-yourself mentality continues , we have not business to come plain.


now john does point out alot of theology that i myself agree with... like that we are in essence "property" of Jesus..agree! that once we ''fully'' submit, we die to our selves and sin, like paul stated, in romans 6:11 , we no longer have the right to decide what we do. you and i have been "slaves" our entire lives, lets be honest we love having a commanding factor in our lives... weather its.. money, athority, items, power, greed, lust, or any other charicteristic, or thing that "demands" our time, energy, and selves...we were built, designed, CREATED... to SERVE as SLAVES.... just depends on master.

john brings about another good point about the masters, of our lives..... we all know[ hopefully, and if not its okay, send me a comment and we can talk] that Jesus Bought us[this is where i part from john] not just predestined believers, but the world[john 3:16, didn't say some said all] but when he paid who did he pay????



got to read it....it will radically change your relationship with Christ, or Lord and MASTER

this is a cool lil day by day... devotional i figure... has some interesting historical facts about different saints and marters, who have fowarded the gospel of christ and radically changed the the world... it is a informative read and am giving my copy to my paster who is in love with history... will be a great  christmas gift idea for the history lover in ur life..

Living Life in the Zone by Kyle Rote Jr

this i a cool 40 day devotional that incorporates real life christian men who are in the sports field. it is an interesting read, and i though I'm not much for sports, i found the message to be rather refreshing. I'm thinking about bringing the book up as a possible men's group study for church. might be beneficial for most men, as it deals with  personal, family, marriage professional. etc..  id recommend this to a friend or family member.

The way home staring Dean cain

A parents worst nightmare..... and a mans life changed!!!! The way home i a true account of Randy Simpkins when his 2yr old son Joe goes missing.  as a father myself i injected myself into the story.. the emotions that are brought about by this movie, shakes the very foundations of a father. Randy(Dean Cain)  is a work first man. then loses his son and realizes the important things in life.... God and family.  shows the awesome power of Gods provision... neighbors, friends, churches and emergency personal all search for this boy for about 6hrs (movie time), no one gives up hope or dependency on God.  beautiful movie and a must see for any christian family, and especially parents and fathers specifically... bring us back to whats important.

Eternal torrment in hell....act of Gods mercy?

Ok, i know some of you are going,"what is this nonsense?...mercy!?!?" Yes, mercy. Think on this, (and i hope you can follow it bounces in my head) Jesus when he was praying in Gethsemane bled sweat, agonizing; "if there is anyway this cup may pass from me let it be so; but your will be done not mine" (paraphrase) the "cup" was not death, it was "our" just punishment for "our" sins; God's Wrath!!! so think about this, Jesus, creator of the world(Jn 1:1) who knew what God Wrath consisted of, in my opinion, was scared of it. That to me says something about the power and magnitude of it. So a fearful Jesus Willingly threw himself in front of us to take on all of the "anger" of God, for us!! Pretty nice of him, if anyone jumped in front of me with a bullet coming id be friends with him for life, because i owed him mine.  "So what does that have to do with hell?" you ask. simply this.... whats done is done!!!  Weather you believe Jesus died for you and redeemed you of your sins, or not.....HE DID!!!! you cant change it! you can only choose to be thankful for a fresh start and take his hand.... for those who (my opinion) are to stubborn to change and follow Jesus... there is punishment... a place of eternal torment where there will be "weeping and gnashing of teeth." wheres mercy?? what if  Jesus never died?  Jesus himself was fearful, to the point he sweat blood, so wouldn't that make HELL significantly less than what we deserve.  I think if Jesus took our rightful punishment, that Hell as bad as we think it is, is done out of Gods mercy and love...  Think about it, post if you agree. post if you think I'm totally wrong...  just think about the price Christ paid for YOU!!!!!

the butterfly effect

great book! butterfly effect talks about how your life can impact lives hundreds of yrs ahead in time. the author gives example of one man and tracing back couple of generations. though a short read its impactful and mind opening. good story to read to kids bout 5-9 to get them thinking about their actions. would look for more books by the author.
